Steph Curry jokingly admits he got haircut to start new streak – NBC Sports Bay Area

On Wednesday, Steph Curry’s streak of 11 games with 30 or more points ended in the Warriors’ loss to the Washington Wizards.
So, naturally, the Warriors star opted to make a change heading into Golden State’s game against the Denver Nuggets on Friday in an effort to get back on track. What was Curry’s change? A new haircut, of course.
“You hit the nail right on the head,” Curry said laughing when asked if he cut his hair to start fresh after Warriors’ 118-97 win over the Nuggets. “That’s it. Pretty straightforward.”
After torching the entire league for 11 straight games, Curry went cold in the nation’s capital when he scored just 18 points in the loss to the Wizards.
With the Warriors fighting to get out of the play-in tournament, Curry knew he couldn’t afford to go cold to start the homestand against the Nuggets. Whether it was the fresh cut or being back in the Bay, things clicked again for Curry and the Warriors as the two-time NBA MVP went 11-for-18 from the field and poured in 32 points in the win.
Curry has put the Warriors on his back during April, and now has Golden State just three games behind the sixth-seeded Dallas Mavericks with 12 games to play.
After a disappointing end to their road trip, Curry got a cut and the Warriors got back in the win column. Of course, perhaps Curry just felt his hair was getting a little shaggy and didn’t have some superstitious reason for the cut.
Either way, sometimes a little change is just what the doctor MVP ordered.
