Lifetime has released more teasers of the royal biopic Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace which premieres next week…and it’s hair-larious!
The channel has worked hard at giving viewers a realistic impression of what happened behind the scenes in the British Royal Family following Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s decision to step back as royal representatives.
From publicly announcing their exit last year to the damning tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey; to even the impending birth of the couple’s second child, viewers get a fictionalised, “fly-on-the-wall” insight into the drama that unfolded behind closed palace doors.
But one look at the new pics and trailer starring actors and it’s clear to see an obvious oversight…

Lifetime has made it their mission to cast actors that physically resemble the royal family, and their third instalment of the royal biopic is no different.
Red-haired actor Jordan Dean plays Prince Harry, while bi-racial actress Sydney Morton portrays Meghan Markle in the blockbuster biopic.

But while Sydney nails the look of the brunette royal, it’s Jordan’s depiction of Harry that’s slightly amusing. The actor sports a full head of thick ginger locks – a stark contrast to Prince Harry’s thinning head of hair!
What’s funnier is that the actor who plays Prince William — Jordan Whalen — was not afforded the same privilege as his co-star, and is clearly bald, just like the heir to the throne.
Fans of the channel were quick to spot the error.
“Lmfao the bald head brother!” claimed one viewer.
Just saw a commercial for Lifetime movie version of the Harry and Meghan story and I’ve never laughed harder than when they showed Prince William
“Well of course it tries to show Harry in a better light. It is just another episode in the ‘Markle Fairytale’,” stated another.
A third wondered why poor Prince William was given a raw deal. “Is that the best lookalike they could get for William…he looks like an Italian waiter.”
It’s not the first time the actors who play Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have worked together – the co-stars previously worked together on Broadway musical American Psycho
“We had a great rapport going into it, which I think really served us well when dealing with heavy material that deals with pretty serious subjects,” Jordan told People magazine.

Whether they have any onscreen chemistry will remain to be seen when Harry & Meghan: Escaping The Palace premieres on Monday 7 September in the US.
South Africans will be able to watch the biopic on Thursday 7 October at 20:05 on Lifetime (DStv channel 131).
