Auxiliary donation does it | 96.1 Renfrew Today – renfrewtoday.ca

We knew the momentous day would happen, it was just a question of when- and who would push the total over the top.
Each of those answers came Friday (today) outside the front entrance of the new Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior.
The Come Home to Great Care Campaign target of a 5 million dollar local contribution was achieved two years ahead of time, thanks to a pledge from the ARH Auxiliary, says President Maggie Harbord.
Harbord says without the proceeds from the John Street Opportunity Shop, the Friday event might have come much later.
Just because the objective has been achieved, that doesn’t let Campaign Co-Chairs Ed Reid and Glenn Arthur off the hook with regard to their “Bald-for-Bucks” haircut challenge, being run in conjunction with this year’s Valley Has Heart Golf events.
