Savannah Guthrie reveals striking new dye job: 'Can the anchor of TODAY have pink hair?' – Yahoo Life

Savannah Guthrie is letting her hair down in a bold new way — and her fans are here for it.
The Today anchor, who’s hairstyle was a topic of conversation last year, recently shared a photo on Instagram showing off her wavy locks that have since been dyed pink. Of course, the fashionista tied it all together with a fierce pink lip.
“Ready for the weekend!!” she wrote before adding, “can the anchor of TODAY have pink hair? Asking for a friend.”

The beloved anchor is known for having fun with ’do, even though she's admitted that she's still learning about the ins and outs of getting it just right. Last year, while she was in lockdown, she let her fans in on the process.
“Let’s do this. Coloring hair at home is easy with Charley on my arm and @ritahazan,” she wrote on Instagram in April 2020, joking that her infant son was assisting her.

A month later, she came after critics who said her hair looked “unkempt” while she was delivering the news on air, responding in the classiest way.
"We are all doing our own hair and makeup during the pandemic,” she replied. “And yes it shows!"
Clearly, Guthrie is having the last laugh. Fans and commenters are loving her pink hair and have continued to praise her for making such a bold choice.
“Pink hair DO care,” her Today co-anchor Jenna Bush Hager wrote.
“Remember yesterday when i said you were just the coolest?” added Today contributor Jill Martin.
Journalist and commentator Paula Farris weighed in, adding, "Yes. 👋🏽You. 👋🏼 Can. And we are here for it!"
LOL at everyone in this clip. 😂

This time around the viral sound du jour comes courtesy of Liv and Maddie, an old sitcom that starred Dove Cameron. The TikTok snippet is actually a theme song from the show but it's not the show's actual theme song. The viral TikTok sound is from the show within the show called Linda and Heather. When the song says "pink pink pink" the pair put their hands on their hips and shook from side to side. The trend is so popular that @omalley_kat caught her neighbors doing it across the street
