Pumpkin Spice: The New Redhead Hair Trend For Autumn – GLAMOUR UK

With autumn having officially arrived earlier this week, it's not just our wardrobes that are facing a little seasonal switch up. From our nails to our eye liner and even our eyebrows (no, really) there is a whole host of beauty trends to entice you out of your comfort zone and encourage a little experimentation right now, but it's our hair that's set for a serious overhaul.
Cuts are, of course, a classic route to go down when it comes to updating your hair, but if you're anything like us you likely spent many of the last eighteen months – you know, those months spent in a pandemic-induced separation from your hair salon – imagining how you might experiment with colour as soon as the doors reopened.
If you're yet to commit to a shade, please take this as your sign from the universe that it's time to be brave – and there's no cooler colour trend for autumn than ‘Pumpkin Spice’.

A punchy orange shade across the majority of the hair with bleached sections at the front, this trend is ideal for anyone – but particularly for blondes – looking for a super autumnal hair update without forgoing the flattering fairness around the face.

"Pumpkin Spice is the perfect way to enter the new season!" reveals Harriet Muldoon, colourist at London salon Larry King
“This fall we’re going to see strong use of fiery reds and orange sensations. When creating Pumpkin Spice for the first time I was inspired by the seventies punk meets viva forever. It's the perfect look if you're after contrast and are wanting to keep a bold bleach around your face to frame it."

“To create this look I’ve used Redken Shades EQ Gloss. These are amazing semi permanent colours that allow me to create instant new look and gradually fade out to a softer peach, which is ideal if you're always wanting to switch up your shade."
If you're not sure you're ready to brave the two-tone look, Harriet is also loving Kristen Stewart’s new copper shade which ditches the blonde strands in favour of an all-over copper look.
