Sixties Specs

Bursts of colour were swept across each model's face as they took to the Versace spring/summer 2022 runway. From tricolour moments of royal blues, limes and icy silvers to solid emeralds across the entire lid, the hues remained bold and striking, paired perfectly with a natural complexion, slight flush to the cheeks and a glossy lip.

Chiselled Cheekbones

When it came to the Versace by Fendi show, less emphasis was on the lids and the focus went straight to the cheekbones. Angles so sharp they could rival a knife edge, each model sported an incredibly paired back complexion, with the most prominent makeup application being a dramatic shadow on the cheeks. Simple yet striking.

Saturated Strands

As expected, wet hair has made an appearance at Milan Fashion Week, this time at Missoni's sea swept show. Saturated strands continue to deliver the drama, showcasing the faux wet aesthetic that is clearly headed back to our top trends come 2022. And honestly, it's bound to be massive.

Peach Pigments

Typically, a peach pigment is applied to the inner waterline to widen the eyes and emulate a more awake look, after a potentially big night. But when it came to Drome's spring/summer 2022 show, makeup artist, Karin Borromeo, opted for the pastel shade on the waterline and around the lid for a pale effect. Paired with a burgundy lip, the rest of the look is kept simple with a bare brow and a natural complexion.

Embellished Under Eyes

Stick-on gems are back in action, thanks to makeup artist Lisa Butler for Etro's spring/summer 2022 show. Paired with pink, flushed cheeks and a matching pout, sparkling rhinestones and metallic studs sit below the eyes for an edge that reflects the glamour of the garments worn.

Spider Lashes

In time for the spooky season, spider lashes are set to take the beauty world by storm. Alberta Ferretti's spring/summer 2022 show saw the trend weave its web onto every model, and sat perfectly with a paired back look. Simple complexions, sans heavy bronze or blush, and nude lips allowed the bold, spiked lashes to stand out on their own.

Blush Flush

Feeling flushed? So were the models who walked the Fendi spring/summer 2022 show, courtesy of makeup artist Peter Philips. Combining caramels, peaches, and butter-like yellows, this multidimensional look travelled from a smoked out wing into an ombre cheek moment. As for the hair, tresses were pulled back into a sleek, center-part up do, that way, the blush flush could be on full display.
