Furthermore, she has participated in the 4x100m races and emerged victorious in the Pan American Championship held in 2017. Being the under-20 champion in this tournament fetched Richardson recognition at the global platform.
Richardson also qualified for the Summer Games in Tokyo. However, as she tested positive for taking a banned substance, she could not participate in the event. However, Richardson did not give up and participated at the Nike Prefontaine at the beginning of 2021 to make a comeback.

After letting herself and her fans down, she decided to rebuild her image. While competing at the Diamond League earlier this year she came 9th. Even though her personal best is 10.75 seconds in 100m, she clocked 11.11 seconds during her race against the very best, Elaine Thompson Herah, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce as well as Sherika Jackson.
Richardson is certainly not a quitter and looks to do work hard and fight in every situation. She recently posted her story wherein she said, “Paris 2024, history will be made“. This is most certainly a way for her to show her positive approach towards training for Paris.

But will she be able to do it? Given her past performances, it does seem challenging for the young American to go up against her competitors and claim a medal in the tournament. However, Richardson is a talented individual, and therefore, one should never count her out.
Richardson was not able to start her professional season on a good note. But she tried to make her presence felt by being active on social media and also participated in tournaments that took place after the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Perhaps that is the reason she is more known for her nails and her hairstyle, which she says is inspired by the sprinting queen, Florence Griffith Joyner.
In addition to being in touch with her fans, Richardson also opened up about her personal life, sharing that she also has a girlfriend. Apparently, she also announced in the month of June that she is an ardent supporter of the LGBTQI+ community as well.
